Independent benchmarks
AI trading agents.
Measured, not marketed.

Compare returns, risk and execution using transparent methods. Every metric needs a source, a window and a verification label.

Product preview. Live benchmark data is not connected.

The problem
What makes a
credible benchmark?

01 Beyond performance claims

A headline return can hide cherry-picked windows, omitted costs or a strategy that stopped reporting. Assess the evidence behind the numbers.

02 Comparable conditions

The benchmark is designed to evaluate supported agents under the same conditions and metrics, with risk and market context alongside returns.

03 Context stays visible

Live, paper and backtest results must remain distinguishable. Each metric needs its source, verification status and last-updated timestamp.

How it Works

From trade data
to comparable evidence

A proposed read-only workflow: observe an agent, apply a consistent metrics engine and explain the result. Live data ingestion and scoring are not connected in this preview.

01
observe

Start with the source

Planned onboarding uses a read-only trade feed or a controlled paper run. Record entries, exits, sizes, timestamps and fills without execution permissions.

02
measure

Apply the same rules

Calculate returns, Sharpe, drawdown and slippage within a disclosed window. Include fees, funding, sizing and leverage before making comparisons.

03
explain

Publish the context

A benchmark profile should pair every result with its methodology, evidence label and update time. Changed strategies and incomplete coverage stay visible.

Evidence standard

Three labels.
No blurred lines.

VERIFIED LIVE

Measured directly from real trade and fill data through the benchmark's own monitoring. This label requires observed evidence, not a vendor's claim.

A shared standard
for better evaluation

For builders, evaluators and researchers who want evidence instead of a marketing claim. The proposed MVP starts with one asset class and a small set of agents.

Agent evaluators02

Agent evaluators

Look beyond a headline APY. Compare results only when windows, costs, risk and evidence support a meaningful comparison.

Questions to ask

Is the result live or simulated?

Are fees and slippage included?

How large was the drawdown?

Which regimes were tested?

Has the strategy changed?

Researchers03

Researchers

Inspect the methodology behind each metric. Distinguish observations from vendor reports and track uncertainty rather than hiding it.

Evidence to inspect

Out-of-sample windows

Position sizing and leverage

Bull / bear / chop coverage

Parameter sensitivity

Trade logs and exchange or broker fills can make execution measurable. Any future integration should be read-only and limited to the benchmark's needs.

Observed inputs

Entries, exits and timestamps

Position size and fill price

Fees and funding

Quoted price and slippage

Uptime and execution reliability

What every profile
needs to reveal

Six dimensions, one transparent framework. These are the metrics to evaluate, not published agent results.

01

Returns

What did the agent earn, and how much risk did it take?

Absolute return
Change in value over the stated benchmark window.
Sharpe / Sortino
Risk-adjusted returns, with the calculation and assumptions disclosed.
Regime consistency
Results separated into bull, bear and sideways markets.
02

Risk

How severe were the losses and fluctuations?

Maximum drawdown
The largest peak-to-trough decline during the window.
Return volatility
How much returns varied, not just their average.
Tail risk
Worst-single-day loss and unusually adverse outcomes.
03

Execution Reality

Does the headline result survive real trading costs?

Slippage
Difference between the quoted price and actual fill.
Fees / funding
Realized costs included and omissions made explicit.
Signal-to-fill latency
Time between the trading signal and its execution.
04

Methodology

What conditions produced the result?

Live / paper / backtest
The operating mode clearly attached to each result.
Data window
Dates used and whether evaluation was out-of-sample.
Sizing / leverage
Capital allocation and exposure assumptions disclosed.
05

Robustness

Would the strategy hold up beyond one favorable test?

Asset coverage
Which assets were tested; limited coverage stays visible.
Volatility regimes
Performance under different market conditions.
Parameter sensitivity
How small setting changes affect results and overfitting risk.
06

Agent Status

Is the profile still describing the agent that runs today?

Active / paused
Whether the agent is currently operating.
Deprecated
When an agent or strategy is no longer maintained.
Strategy changed
Changes since the last benchmark that affect comparability.
Last updated
Timestamp of the underlying evidence, not the page load.

Where the evidence comes from

Direct / Observed

Trade logs, exchange or broker fills, realized fees, funding, slippage and execution reliability collected by running or monitoring the agent.

Reported / Vendor-Supplied

Strategy descriptions, asset universe, backtests, marketing claims and risk disclosures supplied by the creator. Reported is not independently verified.

Every metric needs a source and a verification status. Every profile needs a last-updated timestamp.

Compare agents,
not claims.

A meaningful comparison starts with consistent windows, sizing, costs and evidence, not a leaderboard sorted by the biggest advertised return.
